Time Gamble Instructions
Time Gambler is a "Casino" type door, in which you gamble the time
you have left in the door. Lose all your time, and get dumped out of the
door. Pretty simple, eh? Now, on to the "rules" and explanations.
First: You have THREE entrances into the door per day. After that,
you must wait for the following day to play again.
From the Main Menu you have the following options, their descriptions
follow.
Polish Roulette : The Opposite of Russian Roulette... there's only
one empty chamber! The computer generates a number between 1 and 6, if
you guess the number... click, you win. If you DON'T guess the number...
bang, you lose.
Chicken : Two die are rolled, (One for you and one for the computer)
and continue to be rolled until the sum of your die, or the computer's
sum is 30 or greater. The one who passes 30 loses. If BOTH pass 30, then
the lowest sum wins.
BlackJack : Traditional BlackJack... with a twist. Aces = 11, and
Jacks = 1. Computer hits on 16 and stands on 17. If both are over 21,
then the lowest sum wins. If a tie occurs, (push) then no-one wins, no-one
loses.
Five, Seven, Nine : An OLD game I used to play as a kid. Two die are
rolled. If the sum of the two die are 5, 7, or 9 you win. Anything else
and you lose.
Card Shark : Remember the TV Game Show? You're shown a card ans must
guess whether you believe the next card will be higher, or lower. If you
make it through 5 cards with no incorrect guesses, you win. (Ties count
as a guess, but don not count against you) Aces = 11, Jacks = 1.
High - Low : The computer generates a number between 1 and 1000, you
get 10 tries to guess the number. After each try, you will be told
whether your guess was too high or two low. Guess the number in 10 tries
or less and win.
Instructions : Displays this text file.
Loan : If you are running short on time, you may borrow 30 minutes,
but only ONCE! When you leave the door, the 30 minutes is subtracted
from your time and time bank account.
Time Bank: Just a place to store your winnings for the next time you
play.
View this Menu : Re-displays the Main Menu.
Quit to BBS : Take you back to the BBS.
High Scores : Look at top 3 high scores. (High scores are derived
from your winnings, MINUS the 30 minutes given to you MINUS the loans, MINUS
any withdrawls you make... as the withdrawls were counted into your score
the day you deposited them, PLUS and deposits you make.)
Confusing??? naw! :>
NOTES: If you are in the middle of one of the games and quit, your bet or
1/2 your remaining time is subtracted, whichever is greater. So,
quitting in the middle of a game isn't a good idea.
Right now, the time in the door has NOTHING to do with the time
in the BBS (ie: Your winnings and losings will have NO effect
on your time remaining in the BBS... except, of course, for the
time the BBS subtracts from being in the door... if any.) This
may change at a later date, I haven't decided.
